The publication is devoted to pressing problem of Ukraine’s implementation of affirmative actions as an effective tool for combating gender discrimination. It analyzes the problems of a methodological justification of affirmative actions and their anti-discrimination capacity, international standards and the best foreign practices their usage; legal grounds for introduction of affirmative actions in Ukraine. This textbook defines regulatory requirements for the implementation of affirmative actions. Also it provides basic guidelines for preparation of the national reports on execution of obligations hold by the state under the UN Convention of the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women concerning the implementation of temporary social activities.

Grounding on specific examples this textbook considers the entire range of typical journalistic mistakes associated with gender aspects while being widespread in Ukrainian mass-media. This handbook might be useful both for students who have just begun to study journalism and for experienced journalists working mostly in print and online media outlets. We believe it to be amusing for Ukrainian media managers as well.

This analysis has been performed by employees of “Gender Center for Information and Analysis “KRONA” with support of the Heinrich Boell Foundation in Ukraine. On June 18, 2010 this text was presented to the Ministry for Family, Youth and Sports of Ukraine as KRONA’s contribution to the National Program "All-Ukrainian Action Plan on Establishment of Gender Equality until 2016” and Ukrainian gender policy development in general.

Report devoted to the analysis of the sociological study "students and students of gender equality" held staff and employee gender information-analytical center "crown" in 2009 sociological survey focuses on aspects such as the manifestations of gender stereotypes of women to choose life, professions training; effectiveness of gender education in high schools and universities, the prevalence of manifestations of sexual harassment in higher education. In the analytical report professionally interpreted in the study obtained quantitative data, and proposes directions for future research.

The report is devoted to the analysis of the sociological study "Students on gender equality" held by the staff of Gender Center for Information and Analysis "KRONA” in 2009. The sociological survey focuses on such aspects: manifestations of gender stereotypes towards women to choose a life style, profession and education; gender education effectiveness in schools and universities; the prevalence of the sexual harassment manifestations in high schools. The analytical report professionally interprets a quantitative data obtained during the study. Also there are some proposed directions for further research.

Ganna Khrystova. Fundamentals for the Gender Analysis of Ukrainian Legislation. - Kharkiv: Rider, 2008 - 108 p. This edition is devoted to pressing problem of the legal ensuring towards equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and its compliance with international standards for gender equality and gender non-discrimination. It analyzes the main international instruments in ensuring the principle of equal rights of women and men, as well as the relevant legislative acts of Ukraine dated before 1 July 2008. The edition also reveals regulatory and methodological basis for gender and legal expertise of Ukrainian legislation and drafts of future regulations.

Ganna Khrystova. Gender Analysis of Legislation of Ukraine. Research manual .- Kharkiv: Rider, 2008 .- 80 p. This edition is aimed to international experts, officials of state and local authority of Ukraine, lawyers, students and post-graduates as well as for representatives of national and international NGOs and human rights activists.

Methodological textbook for public servants, representatives of the local government and media (2007). The textbook was published as a support of the regional program for ensuring of the equal rights and opportunities for women and men in Kharkiv region until 2010. This collection titled "Ukrainian Path towards Gender Equality" (Part 2) presents the results of projects carried out by Kharkiv women's civic organization "Krona" in 2007. The collection contains information about “Krona” and its projects implemented in 2007, the concept of “Ukrainian path to gender equality”, monitoring results on the awareness of law students about the Ukrainian legislation on equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and its practical implementation, findings on projects’ results, materials of debates conducted in different regions of Ukraine, as well as information about Krona’s partner organizations.
